Sales Team Lead in B2B Petfood Field Sales

(M/F/D) – FULL TIME – HOME OFFICE

 

We, Pro Pet Koller GmbH, are an internationally active family business specializing in the production and marketing of super-premium pet food products. Based in the Eifel region, on the edge of the national park, we operate from three different, closely located sites. Our home region and sustainability are key components of our identity. For over 30 years, we have been developing and producing high-quality pet food sustainably, innovatively, and with a passion for dogs and cats.

 

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Sales Team Lead (m/f/d) who will strategically lead and develop our B2B field sales force and further expand our market position together with the team.

In your new job you will be responsible for the following tasks

 

  • Organizational and personnel management as well as further development of the field sales team in B2B pet food sales with a focus on motivation and team productivity
  • Implementation and further development of the sales strategy in specialist retail, taking into account market, customer and competitive developments
  • Promotion, coaching, target agreements and performance evaluation of field staff through regular customer visits ("training on the job") as well as ensuring a structured way of working
  • Control and evaluation of sales and visit targets (key performance indicators)
  • Close collaboration with key account managers, sales support staff and management, as well as coordination of interfaces between internal and external sales teams
  • Joint customer meetings with larger specialist retailers to support the key account
  • Participation in trade fairs, industry events and dealer appointments, as well as active strengthening of the brands of Pro Pet Koller GmbH
  • Travel activities in Germany and Austria to support the field sales force and further develop sales activities

You with

  • Several years of sales experience, preferably in the pet industry
  • Entrepreneurial-strategic thinking combined with strong implementation skills and pragmatic action
  • Structured, analytical and solution-oriented work style with a strong understanding of numbers
  • Strong communication, negotiation and organizational skills, as well as a confident and poised demeanor towards customers, partners and colleagues
  • High level of initiative, results orientation, assertiveness and strong teamwork skills
  • Proficient use of merchandise management systems, CRM systems and MS Excel for the analysis of key performance indicators and to support sales decisions
  • Passion for sales and consulting with a strong focus on customer needs and sustainable business success
