Very few animals tolerate a radical change in diet overnight. This often leads to diarrhea and is frequently mistakenly attributed to an intolerance.
If you want to transition your pet gently, we recommend doing so slowly and carefully over a period of three weeks. Mix a quarter of the new food with the current food and increase the amount by 25 percent each week. Important: When adding the new food, be sure to reduce the amount of the current food accordingly to avoid overfeeding.

Our feeding recommendations for kittens and puppies can be found on the back of the packaging. The weight indicated there is always based on your pet's current weight. This can vary considerably depending on breed and age.

a general rule of thumb, we recommend switching to adult food from 12 months of age. However, depending on the breed and development of the young animal, an earlier or later switch may be advisable. Since we don't know your pet personally, it's best to discuss with your veterinarian when a switch is appropriate.

The difference between classic dry food and MAC's Mono Soft lies in the moisture content. While dry food only has a moisture content of approximately 8-10 percent, Mono Soft is a semi-moist food with a moisture content of 18-19 percent.

We use a special, gentle cooking process in the production of our soft line to preserve the vitamins in the fresh meat. The high proportion of fresh meat in MAC's Mono Soft also ensures broad palatability. Furthermore, the soft texture of the kibble and its twice-as-high moisture content further stimulate a healthy appetite in dogs.

The difference between complete and supplementary feeds lies in their function and nutrient content. Complete feeds are designed to fully meet your dog's or cat's nutritional needs and contain all the necessary proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Therefore, your pet does not require any additional food sources.

Supplementary feeds complement your pet's diet and are not intended to fully provide your dog or cat with all necessary nutrients. They are often used as a snack, reward, or special supplement.
