Ten-year-old Clémence finds an orphaned kitten in the attic of her Paris apartment building. Without hesitation, she takes the adorable little ball of fur in and names him Lou. The two become best friends and are inseparable from then on – and so Lou is even allowed to accompany Clémence and her parents to the countryside, where they plan to spend their holidays together. There, the curious feline enjoys exploring the surrounding woods, where he befriends a little white cat named Câline and experiences many exciting adventures, braving various dangers along the way.
