Very few animals tolerate a radical change in feed from one day. This often leads to diarrhea and is often erroneously attributed to intolerance.
If you want to change your animal gently, we recommend that you implement this slowly and controlled over a period of three weeks. Mix a quarter of the new feed to the previous food and increase the amount by 25 percent weekly. Important: When adding the new feed, make sure to reduce the amount of the previous feed accordingly in order to avoid overfeeding.

You can find our feeding recommendation for kitten and puppies on the back of the packaging. The weight specified there is always based on the current weight of your animal. This can be very different due to breed and age.

We generally recommend switching to adult food starting at 12 months of age as a rough rule of thumb. However, depending on the breed and the development of the young animals, a switch may be advisable earlier or later. Since we don't know your animal personally, it's best to discuss with your veterinarian when a switch is appropriate.

The difference between the classic dry food and Mac's Mono Soft is in the moisture content. While a dry food only has a moisture content of approx. 8-10 percent, Mono Soft is a half-moisture feed whose moisture content is 18-19 percent.

We use a special, gentle cooking process in the production of our soft line to process the fresh meat with vitamin. The high proportion of fresh meat in Mac's Mono Soft also guarantees broad acceptance.
